Drive from Chittor to Kota; continue your drive to Kota and upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Bundi which is 36 km from Kota is a tiny picturesque town, Bundi situated in an unexplored region with rich historical wealth. Once a part of Kota, it was ruled by the Hada Chauhans- an offshoot of the famous Chauhan clan which once ruled Delhi and Ajmer.
Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on the three sides and is circumscribed by a massive wall with four gateways. The Taragarh fort overlooks the garh palace, creating one of the most romantic sights of Rajasthan.
Interesting monuments including impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, temples with beautiful stone idols and chattris with carved pillars, along with a picturesque lake in the heart of the town, add to its charm. Bundi is also famous for its intricate carvings and murals. Fine Rajput murals are painted in the chitrashala, inside the garh palace.
